HVA Open Studios
Its time for Herts Visual Arts annual Open Studios event once again and I am exhibiting new work from my nature based research into local textiles during September. Come and see some of the work completed as part of my recent MA studies.

Artists & Makers Fair
Around 40 of tthe Herts Visual arts artist members will be returning to Berkhamsted Civic Centre on 11th and 12th April 2026 for our second Artists and Makers event.
Textile Tales
"Textile Tales is a fascinating exhibition of work by 14 members of the Herts Textile Art group (HTA), and introduces you to the range and variety of textile art and craft.
Displaying older pieces alongside new work, the group showcases examples of a host of different techniques - some traditional and some experimental/ groundbreaking - which all demonstrate the members' talent and passion for their craft.
In the exhibition you will see embroidered, printed, woven, and knitted pieces; articles in mixed media, or constructed from recycled materials;
2-D and 3-D work.
Come and explore the tales that these textiles tell - about their inspiration, creation, and construction."

An exhibition of Textile Art inspired by the idea of ‘Past & Present’ featuring work by members of the Eastern Region Textile Forum.
Folk By The Oak Festival
This year I will be returning to the Craft Tent at this fantastic local folk music festival, held in Hatfield Park.
New collections of handwoven bags, scarves and eye pillows will be available to buy, alongside weaving kits and cotton yarn packs.
Last year I ran several weaving workshops during the day and this year I have another fun family workshop planned, which is open to both adults and children.
You can weave your very own placemat or mug rug in a selection of striking patterns, using a Rigid heddle loom. Visit the stand early on to book your place, as there will be a limited number of workshops available, so weavers have space to work and can get plenty of guidance with their projects.
£10 p/p - 1 hr workshop including materials and a pre-set loom.
Workshops will run at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm
Slow Textile Arts & Visible Mending Cafe
Demonstrations of ideas for visible mending with a taster workshop about taking care of your clothing.
The LALG Textile art group & Sewing group will be showcasing ideas for Recycling materials, up-cycling garments and mending textiles in a fun creative way.
Learn about ways to make textiles last and reduce your contribution to landfill and pollution in the environment.

Herts Open Studios 2024
The Baldock collective are looking forward to welcoming you to the Baldock Arts and Heritage Centre for their Herts open studios 2024 exhibition.
There will be an eclectic mix of artworks on display including paintings, prints and woven textiles.
The gallery is open to the public 11am - 3pm on a Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.
Join us for the opening afternoon 1-3pm on the 7th August, where we will be serving complimentary refreshments and you can meet the artists and chat to them about their work.
